WEBSITE COPY
The Problem: Be Green was looking to set itself apart from other home and business cleaning companies in the greater Chicago area. At the time, the company’s website lacked consistent messaging and the content was anything but clean.
The Solution: I created crisp and engaging content mixed with a healthy dose of snappy and memorable humor. Three months after the copy went live (and the dust had settled … pun intended), Be Green had already seen a 25% increase in business.
FREELANCE WRITING
The Problem: Move & Groove, a newly launched SaaS company that provides software for professional moving companies, wanted to offer more timely information about its services to prospects and clients.
The Solution: I wrote a series of weekly blog articles for eight weeks that detailed the unique capabilities the software is able to offer moving companies. The project required me to research various competitors and draw comparisons between Move & Groove’s software versus other competing software. As a result of the blogs, Move & Groove saw a dramatic uptick (20% increase!) in the number of visitors to its website.
PRESS RELEASE
The Problem: The problem: Sea Me Now, a producer of eco-friendly textiles derived from plastic bottles found in the ocean, was ready to launch a new sustainable clothing line. The company wanted a press release that would generate a lot of buzz.
The Solution: Press releases—done right—can generate a lot of attention because they can be posted in many places. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) was a vital factor to consider when writing the press release. I wrote an attention-grabbing headline and the body of the copy weaved sustainability-related words with a fashion-forward tone. The press release was picked up by top news aggregators and Sea Me Now experienced a 60% increase in website traffic.
